Faculty of Social Work
In its 42-year history, the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary has grown to one of the largest social work faculties in Canada, and has graduated over 6000 social workers throughout the province. We’re proud of the impact our graduates and faculty members have made in shaping social programs and policies and making a vital difference in the lives of troubled and marginalized people – including those who are experiencing homelessness.
As well, we’ve become an international leader in teaching, scholarship and research. Our research involvement, which has reached over a record $22 million, is conducted collaboratively with partners in all levels of government, community agencies, First Nations groups, and with professionals from other disciplines.
